- Make a diet plan that lets you feel full while lowering your calorie intake. Just eat low calorie food that is rich in fibre to feel full for a long time.
- White oats upma or Dalia along with vegetables like bottle gourd, onion, tomato, beans are good to eat.
- Eat vegetables with anything you wish but not with fruits.
- Baked vegetables like capsicum, cabbage, onion and mushrooms should be preferred.
- Fruits should be eaten alone and on an empty stomach.
- One should eat brown rice poha.
- Make sure you drink a glass of water half an hour before your meal but not with your meal.
- Eat proteins with non starchy vegetables like broccoli, asparagus, carrots and cabbage.
- Salads should be eaten before your main meal because the enzymes that they contain will help in the digestion of your main meal.
- Eat whole wheat bread, oat bread or whole wheat pasta.
- Roasted murmura and chana chaat with cucumber, tomato and onion.
- Sugar and alcohol :Combining sugar with alcohol leads to digestive problems as both are dense in calories. While drinking, you must steer clear of sweets such as mithai, cake and biscuits or give sufficient time between the two for best results.
- Fried food and alcohol: Alcohol is rich in calories and when consumed with fried foods, increases the calorie intake which leads to weight gain and acidity.
- Do not combine pure fats (butter, cream) with high starches (potatoes, breads).
- Fruits and food :Sugar in fruits is absorbed faster than the complex sugars in food. Sugars in food needs to be broken down in the mouth and the stomach and are tougher to process.
- Do not combine high proteins (fish, meat) with high starches at any one meal.
- Don’t combine melon with any other food item as fruits, vegetables, meat or starch, if combined together, the melon would rot in your body before it is digested.
- Don’t combine acids and carbohydrates.
- Do not take butter milk, lemon juice, orange juice or any vinegar with your meal because that includes high starches and sugars.
